We invent, develop and produce. We have been one of the largest manufacturers of circuit breakers, fuses and other electrical installation equipment in the Czech Republic for almost 80 years. With 3VA, we have taken our work a step further to produce a modern circuit breaker that fully meets current trends and our customers' requirements. Read the story of New Modeion.
We started almost 80 years ago as a small family business with several dozen workers. We are now one of the largest employers in the Podorlicko region. We know we have to rely on each other to succeed. This was the case with Wagner Ltd. at the beginning of 1941, and it is still the case in 2020.
We are currently an important competence centre for producing and developing air and moulded case circuit breakers and fuse systems of the parent company Siemens.
Eighty years of production and the 80 years of experience, knowledge, development this has brought and above all 80 years of honest work. Our predecessors bet on innovation, quality and reliability. They were successful because they could see the future. We try to do the same and today we have added safety and environmental protection to our traditional values
The three letters of OEZ - Orlické elektrotechnické závody – appeared in the company name for the first time in 1952. When we introduced the first J2MR and J2RU deion circuit breakers in 1957, we had no idea that they would become one of the most important OEZ products. This was followed by the “deion” of the J2UX series, then the BA. Every new product has always been closer to perfection than the previous one, with us applying more advanced technologies and novel ideas in the development. At the turn of the millennium, we introduced the ground-breaking circuit breakers BC, BD, BH and BL, which we know under the name Modeion to this day.
And today we are moving one step further – Modeion is changing to 3VA.
The new 3VA series of moulded case circuit breakers combines state-of-the-art Siemens technology with the skills of Letohrad development engineers and the indelible footprint of the original line – and it is inspired by the needs of our customers.
The sophisticated protection element system offers solutions for various types of applications in industry and power engineering. 3VA products are characterized by a wide range of accessories and their variability. These include a wide range of connecting sets for most possible installations, the versatility of internal accessories for all sizes up to 1000 A, configurability and almost unlimited extension functions.
In addition, the 3VA moulded case circuit breakers are enhanced with new key features:
- capability of data communication
- integrated measuring function
- quick and easy replacement of previously manufactured devices with special sets
