3VA moulded case circuit breakers guarantee safety, flexibility and economical use in low voltage distribution systems. In addition to user comfort, the key advantage is the availability, safety and protection of your installation, people and property
The basic division of the circuit breakers is based on the design of overcurrent releases:
3VA1 circuit breakers use thermomagnetic overcurrent releases and are designed for simple applications
3VA2 are circuit breakers with higher technical parameters and electronic overcurrent releases designed for more demanding applications in industry and power engineering.
Technical solutions of 3VA1 circuit breakers meet the requirements for reliability and perfect protection. The 3VA1 series uses a thermomagnetic overcurrent release (or bi-metal) and is designed for simple applications
3VA2 are circuit breakers with higher technical parameters and electronic overcurrent release intended for more demanding applications in industry and power engineering. The 3VA2 series meets all the high quality and safety requirements for protecting motors, starters and generators.
The 3VA moulded case circuit breakers are characterized mainly by the variability of internal accessories, which are universal for all sizes of the circuit breakers up to 1000 A. These include, for example, auxiliary switches or auxiliary releases.
One advantage is the choice of control. It is possible to select a motor or hand drive, which can be located on the circuit breaker on the front or on the side
Complete software support and technical support is a given. Drawing documentation and operating instructions are also available.
The circuit breakers can be mounted in any installation thanks to the variability of connecting sets or using plug-in or withdrawable devices.
The 3VA2 moulded case circuit breakers up to 1000 A also offer electronic overcurrent releases of ETU5xx or ETU8xx series that are capable of data communication with the master system. In addition, the electronic overcurrent releases of ETU8xx series are equipped with an integrated measuring function.
The possibility of combination of the circuit breaker and residual current device significantly increases the safety of persons and property. In addition to user comfort, the key advantage is the availability, safety and protection of your installation, people and property.
3VA circuit breakers are available in 1-pole to 4-pole design (1-pole and 2-pole for 3VA11 160 A only). They are designed for rated currents of 16 - 1600 A and rated voltages up to 690 V AC depending on size and series.
Compact circuit breaker 3VA1116-5EF36-0AA0 for simple applications
Compact circuit breaker 3VA2225-5HN32-0AA0 for more demanding applications
Technical solutions of 3VA1 circuit breakers meet the requirements for reliability and perfect protection. The 3VA1 series uses a thermomagnetic overcurrent release (or bi-metal) and is designed for simple applications
The 3VA1 circuit breakers have a mounting depth of 70 mm and the 45 mm cover predetermines 100, 160 and 250 A 3VA1 circuit breakers to protect cables and lines in the infrastructure area. There are a wide range of accessories available for these applications, such as “U” rail adapters as well as side residual current devices and side motor drives.
The basic protective element is a thermomagnetic overcurrent release (bi-metal). It consists of a thermal release for overload protection and a magnetic release, which protects the installation against overcurrent and short circuit. Both releases are independent of each other.
Thermomagnetic overcurrent releases are the basic overcurrent releases for overload and short-circuit protection in simple applications. They are used in AC networks, 400Hz applications and DC applications.
3VA2 are circuit breakers with higher technical parameters and electronic overcurrent release intended for more demanding applications in industry and power engineering. The 3VA2 series meets all the high quality and safety requirements for protecting motors, starters and generators
3VA2 circuit breakers are equipped with two types of current transformers. The ferromagnetic core transformers serve as a power source for feeding the electronic release and the Rogowski coil are used for accurate current measuring. Each of the two transformer types has optimal properties for its specific purpose. Thanks to its high current measuring accuracy, the 3VA2 is suitable for power/energy measuring. In addition, fine setting of the earth fault current monitoring is possible.
